Our green solutions

  • well of 185 m depth, thanks to which our guests can enjoy a healthy, clean, treated water;
  • solar panels on the roofs of our buildings lowering carbon dioxide emissions;
  • led lightining lowering carbon dioxide emissions;
  • mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, which ensures an energy-efficient exchange of used air with fresh air;
  • ground air exchanger contributing to the natural heating (in winter) and cooling (in the summer) of the air entering the hotel, which ensures low energy consumption of buildings;
  • biodegradable writing materials;
  • full waste sorting (paper, glass, metals and plastics, biodegradables, mixed);
  • no small hotel toiletries in the bathrooms;
  • abandoning the use of plastic straws, dishes and cuttlery;

Why do we not use traditional confetti?

Traditional confetti is made of synthetic materials.

Where does it end up after playing its role at the party in just a few seconds?

On the ground, grass, trees, and in ponds, ultimately ending up in our drinking water and the stomachs of animals.

Tiny confetti pieces can be eaten by birds or fish.

They can also pollute groundwater. Kozi Grod Hotel**** has its own well, and that's where we draw drinking water for our guests.

Cleaning up such small elements is really difficult, and sometimes impossible (when they are spread by the wind).

This is a material that takes many years to degrade. Microplastic particles have accumulative properties – they accumulate heavy metals and other fat-soluble toxic substances on their surface.

Accidentally ingested confetti can accumulate, along with its accompanying toxins, in the animal's fat tissue and transfer between links in the food chain.

Please refrain from using confetti or consider purchasing/making an eco-friendly version (made from seeds, leaves, biodegradable paper, etc.).
